The CT Technologist I will perform procedures according to departmental standards, operate CT scanners, and associated equipment with proficiency. They will prepare patients for procedures, record medical history, administer IV contrast, and assist Radiologists/PA during invasive procedures.
The job requires moderate to heavy physical effort, including lifting patients and equipment. The Technologist must follow radiation safety guidelines to prevent exposure to ionizing radiation.
Applicants must have ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine, advanced registry from the ARRT in CT scanning within a year of hire, and current CPR certification. They should also have completed an accredited two-year AMA and ARRT approved program in Radiologic Technology and have a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in Diagnostic Radiology or 1 year experience in CT scanning, or equivalent applicable experience. IV and contrast administration certification is required before performing venous contrast administration.
